COMPUTER REPAIR/SERVICE AGREEMENT
All references to “the Company“, “we“, “us” and “our” in these terms and conditions are deemed to refer to PC by
Design, a company in the Republic of South Africa, Western Cape, Vredenburg, 7385.
All references to “you” and “your” are deemed to refer to any user and/or visitor of www.pcbydesign.co.za.
1.1 PC by Design will only perform and provide computer services, repairs, and upgrades as requested by the
PC by Design will conduct honest, reasonable, and considerate services. The goal is to provide the highest quality
of service and support, but specific results cannot be guaranteed.
1.2 Computer service/repairs are provided as a service. There may be circumstances under which your computer
can not be repaired. In the event of it to be rebuilt or upgraded, (Examples: Age of PC, repair/replacement parts
obsolete (memory chips, motherboards, etc.) you will issued with a quote which you will have to approve first.
1.3 The length of time required to service/repair your computer cannot be predicted. Any new computer/laptop
received for repairs will be added to our queue.
1.4 You understand that in the process of working on your computer equipment, there is a potential for data loss.
You agree that you have made the necessary backups of your data so that, in the event of such loss, the data can
be restored. PC by Design will not be held responsible for data loss.
1.5 You authorize the technician(s) providing the service or repair to install anti-virus and any other necessary
software on your computer to perform required services. All software will be deleted / uninstalled upon
completion of the service.
1.6 Any payments outstanding must be settled on picking up of your equipment. Items not paid within 14 days
upon completion date will be sold to cover our costs.
2. BILLING TERMS
2.1 Computer services/repairs are billed as stated on the service order provided. In the event that your computer
or laptop is beyond economical repair, a service fee of R150 is payable for troubleshooting.
2.2 An estimate of cost for work will be provided before performing computer services/repairs. Estimates are not
2.3 In the case that there is an unforeseen deviation, beyond the above estimated amount, every effort will be
made to contact you and inform you of the situation and receive authorization to continue or stop at the estimate
2.4 In the case that you cannot be reached, work will stop until contact is established. Once reached, your decision
to continue or stop will be honored by PC by Design.
3. PAYMENT TERMS
3.1 Full payment is due upon completion of services, upgrades, or repairs.
3.2 Computer parts, hardware, or/and software that are ordered or special orders must be paid in full in advance.
3.3 PC by Design accepts cash, EFT or direct deposits. In the event of direct deposit or EFT, items will be released
once the payment reflects on our bank balance.
4.1 Service(s) are provided in an effort to fix, upgrade, or otherwise repair the computer system(s) for which you
request such service(s).
4.2 Your system will not be intentionally harmed. The primary goal is to fix your computer, not damage it.
4.3 In the case of accidental damage of data to your system or data loss caused by already existing problems in
your system such as viruses, bad configured software, or hardware problems/failures -You agree not to hold PC by
Design and any person(s) associated with PC by Design or involved in the work being done for you harmless from
damages resulting from such problems.
4.4 It is your responsibility to back up your data. PC by Design will not be responsible for data loss.
4.5 We do not take any responsibility for damages due to fire, theft, storms or any other form of damage that may
occur while your computer/laptop/equipment are in our possession.
4.6 We recommend legal/non-pirated software. We do not take any responsibility for any pirated software on your

5.2 All services will be conducted in a professional, reasonable and timely manner. Also, taking into consideration
the circumstances and nature of the technical problems.
5.3 Free support will be provided for problems to be resolved from the service order. In the event of negligence on
your side all support after a service will be billed according to our services charges.
8.1 All PC by Design’s technicians are A+ Certified service technicians or the technician is “overseen” / supervised
by an N+ or A+ Certified technician until the subordinate technician receives accredited N+ or A+ Certification.
Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless PC by Design of any and all claims, demands, losses,
causes of action, damage, lawsuits, judgments, including attorneys’ fees and costs, arising out of or relating
to the services provided by PC by Design.
